The mission of Thanks For The Freedom Fund is to formally express gratitude to our nation’s veterans for their service.

Through our programs, we recognize the brave men and women that serve and sacrifice so that all may enjoy the blessings of freedom and liberty.


Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

Sunday, April 25th, 2021 - Meet Major Corey Langman. Major Corey Langman has served over 22 years in the Army as a drilling Iowa National Guardsman. He enlisted into the Iowa National Guard in February 1998. Thanks For The Freedom Fund is honored to be able to formally thank Corey for his service. We are excited to begin planning for the flagpole installation and the flag presentation ceremony!

November 11, 2020 - Thanks For The Freedom Fund was invited by Quilts Of Valor to participate in Farm Bureau Financial's annual Veteran's Day event. Thanks For The Freedom Fund is happy to announce that this year, we were able to thank two veterans at this special event.

July 31st, 2020 - Thanks For The Freedom Fund was honored to join with friends and family at the home of Senior Chief Matt Heit to thank him for his service with the presentation of an illumintated flag and flagpole set.

November 11th, 2019 - Thanks For The Freedom Fund has again been invited by Quilts Of Valor to participate in Farm Bureau Financial's annual Veteran's Day event. Thanks For The Freedom Fund is honored to have the opportunity to formally thank one of the veterans at this special event.

Meet Senior Chief Matt Heit. It is our privilege to thank this 20 year Navy verteran for his service. Thanks For The Freedom Fund will present Matt with a certificate for a lighted flag and flagpole set. The set will be installed and presented to Matt and his family at a flag raising ceremony in the spring of 2020.

November 12th, 2018 - As part of Farm Bureau Financial’s Annual Veteran’s Day recognition event, Quilts Of Valor recognized several veterans with beautifully crafted patriotic quilts. They invited Thanks For The Freedom Fund to share in the event by nominating one veteran to receive a certificate for the installation and presentation of a flagpole set.
